Mankato Clinic Welcomes Three Providers

The Mankato Clinic is happy to announce the arrival of three new providers who joined the healthcare clinic in August. 

Abel Alfonso, DO
Endocrinology

Dr. Aflonso received his medical degree from Michigan State University – College of Osteopathic Medicine, East Lansing, MI. He completed his internal medicine residency at Brooke Army Medical Center, San Antonio, TX, and his endocrinology, diabetes and metabolism fellowship at Walter Reed Army Medical Center, Washington DC. Dr. Alfonso’s clinical interests include diabetes, thyroid disorders, parathyroid disorders/hypercalcemia, male hypogonadism (low testosterone), osteoporosis and adrenal and pituitary gland disorders. He is a member of the Endocrine Society and the American Association of Clinic Endocrinologists and is a fellow of the American College of Endocrinology. He is board certified in internal medicine and endocrinology. In his spare time, Dr. Alfonso enjoys hiking, biking, kayaking and traveling.

Brett Baldwin, DO
ENT/Facial Plastic Surgery

Dr. Baldwin received his medical degree from A.T. Still University-Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine in Kirskville, MO. He completed a General Surgery internship at Henry Ford Macomb Hospital in Detroit, MI. He then completed his residency training and sub-specialization in Otolaryngology-Facial Plastic Surgery at Henry Ford Macomb Hospital in Detroit, MI. Dr. Baldwin is a member of the American Academy of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery and the American Osteopathic College of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery. He is board certified in Otolaryngology-Facial Plastic Surgery. Dr. Baldwin’s clinical interests include head and neck cancer, sinus surgery, and facial plastic and reconstructive surgery. In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with his wife and three kids, traveling and all things outdoors.

Ben Dexter, MD
Pediatrics

Dr. Dexter received his medical degree and completed his Pediatric residency at the University of Iowa Carver College of Medicine, Iowa City, IA. His clinical interests include general pediatrics. He is a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics and is board certified in pediatrics. In his spare time, Dr. Dexter likes to read, spend time with family and friends, go for walks with his dog and exercise.
