MANKATO (March 22, 2019) — The Men’s Health Forum, an annual Mankato Clinic event, will be hosted Tuesday, April 9 at the Country Inn and Suites, Mankato.

The free event begins at 5 p.m. with a Wellness Expo offering free health screenings and education provided by Mankato Clinic. A complimentary light supper will begin at 5:45 p.m.

The program begins at 6 p.m.

  • Mankato Clinic patient Jim Levandowski will present “Not Done Living.” He shares his journey to living an active and healthy life despite setbacks and complications. He will be joined by his healthcare team – psychiatrist Dr. Bob Olson and Erin Gonzalez, registered and licensed dietitian – who have helped motivate him along the way. Dr. Gary Goldberg, Urology, Dr. John Benson, Family Medicine, and Dr. Jesse Botker, Orthopaedic and Fracture Clinic, will also join this discussion.  
  • Bukata Hayes of Greater Mankato Diversity Council will present “Connect to Thrive.” After growing up in inner-city Milwaukee, he landed on the campus of Bethany Lutheran. For over 20 years, he has made Mankato his home. He will talk about the impact of leaving home for the unknown and how a strong community has influenced his life then and now.
