March 31, 2022 (MANKATO) — Mankato Clinic is the top-performing medical group among 10 high-performing medical groups in the Minnesota Health Care Quality Report: Results for Care Delivered in 2020. Medical group performance is based on care measures that include preventive care and care for chronic conditions like diabetes, heart disease and depression.

For care delivered in 2020, Mankato Clinic is significantly above the statewide average in 23 of 29 care measures for which the clinic is eligible. To be a high performing medical group, medical group rates must be significantly above the statewide average on at least 50 percent of the measures for which they are eligible.

“We are proud to be recognized as a high-performing medical group and achieve excellent quality scores in the majority of our care measures,” said Dr. Andrew Lundquist, Mankato Clinic chief medical officer. “Despite disruptions to health care in 2020 due to the pandemic, we delivered high quality care to our patients. And we know that high quality health care helps improve our patients’ health and well-being.”
