Dr. Katie Thompson was named 1st Place Family Physician / Primary Care Physician in the Best of Mankato 2026 Awards. This marks her third year in a row receiving this recognition.
As a family physician and primary care provider at Mankato Clinic, Dr. Thompson cares for patients through preventive care, annual wellness visits, chronic condition management, and everyday health concerns.
Dr. Katie Smentek named 1st Place Pediatrician
Dr. Katie Smentek was named 1st Place Pediatrician in the Best of Mankato 2026 Awards. This is her 11th year in a row earning this honor.
Dr. Smentek cares for children and families through every stage of childhood, from newborn care and well-child visits to illnesses, child development questions, and ongoing pediatric health needs.
Dr. Amy Deehr named 3rd Place Pediatrician
Dr. Amy Deehr was named 3rd Place Pediatrician in the Best of Mankato 2026 Awards.
As a pediatrician at Mankato Clinic Children’s Health Center, Dr. Deehr provides compassionate pediatric care for children and families across southern Minnesota.

The Mankato Clinic Eye Care Center was named 2nd Place Eye Exam Office. The Eye Care Center provides eye exams, vision care, cataract surgery, and support for patients of all ages.
Mankato Clinic Psychiatry & Psychology Department named 2nd Place Mental Health Providers
The Mankato Clinic Psychiatry & Psychology Department was named 2nd Place Mental Health Providers. The department supports patients through compassionate mental health care, therapy, medication management, and behavioral health services for adults and children.
