Laura Riness is a proud mother of four-two sons and two daughters-all of whom went through the Mankato District school system. Nothing brings her more joy than having all of her adult children home together. Family is one of her greatest sources of pride and connection.

Expertise & Clinical Interests

With over 15 years of clinical experience, Laura has provided services across a range of settings, including in-home basic skills work, community counseling clinics and faith-based environments. She has worked extensively in telehealth and is a strong advocate for its use in mental healthcare. She believes telehealth expands access, reduces stigma and often allows for quicker rapport-building by supporting patients in the comfort of their own space.

Laura works with patients ranging from ages 16-65. Her clinical interests include treating generalized anxiety disorder, panic disorder, depression include post-partum, adjustment disorders and working with couples. She is especially passionate about exploring the relationship between mental and physical wellness.
