Pricing for Ambulatory Surgery Centers
The Mankato Clinic strives to be as transparent as possible when it comes to pricing. Our goal is to provide patients with a cost estimate for procedures provided in the Mankato Clinic Endoscopy Center and Pain Centers of Minnesota. These facilities are Ambulatory Surgery Centers (ASC).
We encourage patients to call 507-389-8507 to talk with a patient financial services representative from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday-Friday. Our representatives can answer your questions and navigate you through the billing process.
Every insurance plan is different. We advise patients to contact their insurance company to help them determine their out-of-pocket costs. Call the number on the back of your insurance card at least 5 days prior to your upcoming procedure.
FAQs
How do I get an accurate estimate from my insurance plan?
Use our Cost Estimation Worksheet, which has questions to ask your insurance plan about co-pays, out-of-pocket costs and in-network providers. You will also need a CPT code from a Mankato Clinic Patient Financial Services at 507-389-8507.
What is a CPT code?
A CPT code is a medical code that is used to report medical, surgical and diagnostic procedures and services to physicians, health insurance companies and accreditation organizations. CPT codes are a uniform language used to identify services for billing and claims processing.
Will I receive more than one bill?
When you have a procedure done, it’s common to receive a bill for each service. Procedures and surgeries may require multiple services such as pathology, lab, diagnostic imaging and anesthesia. When checking with your insurance company, it’s helpful to have a CPT code for those services as well.
Why are there different charges for the same procedure?
In the charts below, you’ll find the CPT code, procedure name, and the estimated price for each procedure. Mankato Clinic works with many insurance companies. If we are participating with your insurance, we have already agreed to an allowed amount. The allowed amount is often a discounted price. Our chart reflects our charge for the procedure as well as the negotiated charges with major insurance companies, Medicare and Medicaid. Be sure to call your insurance company to check your co-pay, deductible or co-insurance to find out what your out-of-pocket cost will be.
