OB Education Classes

If you are having a child, whether it’s your first or your third, it is easy to feel overwhelmed by questions, fears and just not knowing what to expect. The more you know, the more confident and relaxed you will be. That’s why we offer a wide variety of classes to help you prepare for childbirth and bringing your new baby home.

All OB Education classes are held at:
Children’s Health Center
Wickersham Health Campus
1421 Premier Drive, Mankato
Enter through the front doors and the conference room is on the lower level.

Prepared Childbirth Class (2 – Week Session)

Designed for First Time Moms

This class is designed for first-time parents who want information on preparing for their child’s birth. It is recommended that you and your support person attend this class during the last three months of your pregnancy.

As new parents you will have lots of questions about the way your newborn looks and acts. Knowing what is normal and what to expect at this time in your baby’s life will help you relax and enjoy watching your baby grow.

Car Seat Safety Classes (One Session)

Research shows more than 80 percent of children in car seats are incorrectly restrained and eight out of ten children who need booster seats don’t use them.
One of the most important jobs you have as a parent is to keep your child safe while riding in a car. But with so many car seats and booster seats on the market and the lengthy instructions that come with them, you may find yourself overwhelmed.
