MANKATO (March 29, 2022) — The Mankato Clinic Foundation continues to partner with the Educare Foundation by awarding a $25,000 grant to support educator-led initiatives and programs in Mankato Area Public Schools in 2022.

“The Mankato Clinic Foundation strongly supports education and learning opportunities for our young people. We partner with Educare to gain insight into the needs of our students, educators and schools. Through Educare, we can positively impact children, teens and families,” said Marcia Bahr, Mankato Clinic Foundation president. “This is our third $25,000 grant to the Educare Foundation since 2019.”
The Mankato Clinic Foundation grant will help support Educare’s mission to provide funding and support to teachers for innovative learning tools, materials and student opportunities. Educare funds direct-from-teacher requests through quarterly mini-grants and larger educator initiative grants. This year, Educare has funded requests ranging from reading supplies to makerspace kits and soldering materials, with larger teacher awards to be announced soon.

“Educare is grateful for its partnership with the Mankato Clinic Foundation. Its support directly impacts our teachers and students. We look forward to putting these funds to good use in our schools,” said Jeff Grace, chairperson, Educare Foundation Board of Directors.
