FT Certified Sleep Technician/Polysomnographic Technologist (4/10 hour shifts, 8:00 pm-6:00 am)
Description: The Certified Sleep Technician/Polysomnographic technologist, works under the general supervision of the Sleep Center Medical Director (M.D., D.O., or PhD) or designee to provide comprehensive evaluation and treatment of sleep disorders. The Polysomnographic technologist can perform the duties of a technician and provide oversight of other staff.
Requirements: Successful completion of an accredited educational program leading to an associate degree with an emphasis in Polysomnography. OR Successful completion of a Polysomnography program of no less than one year duration associated with a state licensed and/or nationally accredited educational facility or equivalent experience and documented proficiency in all competencies required of a Polysomnographic Technician. AND Certification by the Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technologists as a Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT) or an equivalent credentialing body with one to five years’ experience.
