Mankato Clinic Physicians Promote Alcohol-free Pregnancy
Mankato – Mankato Clinic physicians Alyssa Stitt, M.D., Family Practice, and Katie Smentek, M.D., Pediatrics, will be on hand tomorrow evening (Sept. 14) for an event sponsored by the Minnesota Organization on Fetal Alcohol Syndrome and Mankato Clinic.


“Pregnant Pause, “ from 6 to 8 p.m. at Pub 500, downtown Mankato, is an informative event for pregnant women to promote an alcohol-free pregnancy. Local bartenders will compete in a contest to create the best nonalcoholic drink, and will be judged by event participants.
The event will also feature snacks, door prizes and an opportunity to ask Mankato Clinic physicians questions about pregnancy and early childhood development. The first 75 pregnant women to arrive will receive a free diaper bag stocked with gifts.
