Minneapolis Heart Institute @ Mankato Clinic Grows with the Addition of Dr. Kanwar

Mankato - Cardiologist, Manpreet Kanwar, M.D., has joined the Minneapolis Heart Institute @ Mankato Clinic, which opened earlier this year through a unique and long-term agreement between the Mankato Clinic and Minneapolis Heart Institute (MHI).

The agreement focuses on world-class care accessed through MHI, cutting-edge research conducted by its physicians, innovative services provided at its new Heart Hospital, and a unique “team approach” to health care between MHI and Greater Mankato healthcare providers. MHI cardiac specialists provide care at the Mankato Clinic in the areas of interventional cardiology, vascular medicine, medical imaging, congestive heart failure, biomedical engineering, pacing and electrophysiology.

Dr. Kanwar says she is looking forward to being a part of a cardiology program that provides world-class care to the area. “Cardiac care has made tremendous advances over the last few years which can help people live longer, better lives. I hope to help bring excellent, quality care to Greater Mankato by working closely with regional healthcare providers and the cardiovascular specialists from Minneapolis Heart Institute,” says Kanwar.

Dr. Kanwar’s health care experience started in 1998 when she began working at Rajingra Hospital, Patiala, India. She received her medical degree from Medical College, Patiala, India, and completed her internal medicine residency and cardiology fellowship at St. John Hospital and Medical Center, Detroit, Michigan. Dr. Kanwar is available to see patients Monday through Friday starting January 8th at the Mankato Clinic’s Main Street location by calling 389-8519.
