FlavorFest! An event to promote healthy eating
Presented by the Mankato Clinic and the Farmers’ Market
(Mankato, MN)— August 21, 2008 — Do you eat enough fruits and vegetables? Chances are you do not; most Americans do not have the recommended amounts of fruits and vegetables in their diets. In an effort to encourage local community to eat more fruit and vegetables; the Mankato Clinic has teamed up with the Farmers’ Market for the first ever “FlavorFest, Add Flavor To Your Diet With Fruit and Vegetables”. This outdoor festival will take place on Tuesday, August 26, from 3:30 to 7:00 at Madison East Center.
The event will include free samples of local fruits and vegetables, cooking demos, prizes games, music, performers, as well as food vendors selling pork sandwiches, grilled corn-on-the-cob, and a watermelon feed. All foods are locally grown.
FlavorFest will also include informative presentations:
