Equipped with state-of-the-art digital technology, our Diagnostic Imaging Department provides extensive services in General Radiography, Mammography, Ultrasound, Computed Tomography (CT), Bone Densitometry and Digital Fluoroscopy. Mankato Clinic also offers Positron Emission Tomography/Computed Tomography (PET/CT), and is in partnership with Mankato Regional Imaging at OFC to provide Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) services. The ACR has accredited our certified Mammography Department staff since 1992—assuring accurate, dependable readings. Mammography offers screening, diagnostic, spot compression, magnification, implant imaging, needle localizations, and stereotactic biopsy. Mammography and Ultrasound offer the latest in non-surgical breast biopsy technology requiring only a small incision, no stitches and is less expensive than surgery. Ultrasound is a painless and radiation-free diagnostic technology to image soft tissue organs and structures. Since 1996, the Clinic’s Ultrasound Department has been fully accredited by the American College of Radiology (ACR), while the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography certifies our Sonographers in General Abdomen, Breast, Vascular, Obstetrics and Gynecology Imaging. Our ACR accredited CT Department staffed with Registered CT Technologists using the latest technology to determine the most effective option to more invasive diagnostic methods—minimizing radiation dose, cost and recovery time for the patient. The Clinic is also equipped with state-of-the-art Bone Densitometry equipment to help diagnose and screen for osteoporosis painlessly, and is interpreted by ISCD certified Radiologists.
