At the Mankato Clinic, we’re committed to treating and monitoring your diabetes with our ADA recognized Diabetes and Nutrition Education Center. Our highly skilled, multidisciplinary healthcare team professionals are trained with the latest information on diabetes to help ensure early detection and treatments that focus on you, from head to toe.

Our main goal is to work with you to keep your sugar levels under control through oral antidiabetic medications, insulin, food and/or exercise, ensuring a future of health and happiness.

Nutrition Education

Our approach to healthy weight loss starts with the client's relationship with food and their body image.  Working together, personal goals will be created that meet your body's nutritional needs and help address emotional connections with food.  With a meaningful understanding of the nutritional, physiological, and behavioral issues of the mind and body, you can create balance to promote a higher quality of life.  Our goal is to help each person make small changes that will provide lifelong results.

The Nutrition Education Center offers medical nurtition therapy for a variety of health-related concerns including:

  • Cholesterol Management
  • Chronic diarrhea/constipation
  • Eating disorders
  • Food Allergies/intolerance
  • Gastric bypass: pre-consults and post-refresher
  • Gastrointestinal disorders (GERD, Crohn's disease, celiac disease, irritable bowel syndrome, diverticulitis, gallbladder disease)
