Why work for the Mankato Clinic?

History

The Mankato Clinic was founded in 1916 by Drs. A.E. Sohmer and J.S. Holbrook. The clinic employed eight physicians and two staff members in the National Bank Building, now the Graif Building in Downtown Mankato. Today, the Mankato Clinic has grown to over 100 Physicians and Allied Health Professionals with over 600 employees in eight locations in six communities.

Employee Testimonials

The Mankato Clinic encourages ‘promote from within’.  The Mankato Clinic encouraged me to look at other job opportunities from within.  From Medical Records to a position in the Information Technology department is quite a range.  The benefit package is outstanding.  I cannot see myself working for any other health care facility in the southern Minnesota region.

I started working at the Mankato Clinic in June of 1995. Since I have been here the clinic has grown tremendously, yet there is still a caring atmosphere in the clinic.  The people in Human Resources and Administration walk through the clinic and call everyone by name.  I have seen employees come to the aid of another employee or family member in time of need by donating PTO, food and money to help out with injury, illness and fires.  I know our motto "It's all about caring” is seen throughout the clinic with patients and other staff.  Thank-you, Mankato Clinic, for making me part of your family.

As a psychiatric nurse, I am most appreciative of our highly qualified and ethical clinicians.  I readily encourage treatment because of the confidence I have in the therapists and physicians.  Furthermore, they provide me with an opportunity to learn which supports my growth as a patient advocate.
