Mankato Clinic Cardiologists offer superior skill in finding, treating and preventing diseases of the heart and blood vessels including but not limited to Coronary Artery Disease, Peripheral Artery Disease (PAD), and uncontrolled hypertension. In your initial consultation with one of our cardiologists, they will review your medical history and perform a physical examination which may include checking your blood pressure, weight, heart, lungs, and blood vessels. Some problems may be diagnosed by your symptoms and the doctor’s findings when you are examined. You may need additional tests such as an ECG, x-ray, or blood test. Other problems will require more specialized testing. Your cardiologist may also recommend lifestyle changes or medication. Our cardiologists understand that is each patient’s case is unique.
The Mankato Clinic also offers cardiology outreach care in partnership with the Minneapolis Heart Institute (MHI), which is recognized internationally as one of the world’s leading heart institutes. The partnership focuses on world-class care accessed through MHI, cutting-edge research conducted by its physicians, innovative services provided at its new Heart Hospital, and a unique “team approach” to health care between MHI and the Mankato Clinic.
The Cardiovascular Medicine Department is located at the Main Street location on the first floor, just past the elevators.
